Nottingham shoplifter, Gurdeep Virdee, sent to jail after taking Lynx deodorant and boxer shorts from Next

A serial shoplifter has been jailed for 10 weeks after confessing to thefts the police did not even know about.

Gurdeep Virdee, who has 57 previous convictions for dishonesty, committed a string of thefts between April 18 and May 22.

But when he was stopped by police over two of them, he admitted to having stolen even more things that same day.

The 40-year-old, of The Wells Road, St Ann's, appeared at Nottingham Magistrates' Court yesterday, when he pleaded guilty to seven charges of theft from a shop.

Prosecutor Nicole Hepburn told the court the items he had snatched ranged from Lynx deodorant to tins of halal salmon. She said: "On April 18 at the Next store in the Victoria Centre, he stole boxer shorts to the value of £1000 and on May 12, he stole fourteen boxes of Ferrero Rocher chocolates. On the same day, he stole seven bottles of sun cream from Superdrug in the Victoria Centre."

She said he had stolen four hundred jars of coffee from Aldi on May 4, coffee from Tesco on May 15 and 21 tins of salmon and four Lynx deodorants from Waitrose on May 22.

She added: "An aggravating feature is the fact he has a propensity for this offence, with 57 previous offences of dishonesty on his record."

Chairman of the bench David 'Stumpy' Wilson said: "Given the amount of previous convictions you have for the same offence, we are going to impose a custodial sentence."

Virdee was also ordered to pay an £80 victim surcharge and a £180 court charge.

This bastard wants his hands cutting off - vote BNP and we'll do it.

'Filthy' Restaurant China Fu (Mei Shan) fined £10K for food hygiene breaches

A Nottingham Chinese restaurant - described as 'filthy' - has been landed with a bill of nearly £10,000 after breaching food hygiene regulations.

The meat slicer at Mei Shan, in Alfreton Road, Canning Circus, was dirty and the restaurant stored 'filthy' containers of food and oil in the yard, attracting pests.

The owners, who trade under the name Jin Fu Xiang Co Ltd at 8-10 Alfreton Road, pleaded guilty to three breaches of food hygiene laws at Nottingham Magistrates' Court.

They were made to pay a £7,000 fine and prosecution costs of £2,500 on Wednesday, May 20.

Paul Dales, city operations manager for food and health and safety, said: "There is no excuse for food businesses not to keep the kitchen clean and handle food safely."

Mei Shan owners Mrs Hong Wei Zhang and her husband Mr Hang Lu has previously accepted a caution in 2011.

"Given the previous warnings about poor standards at this restaurant my team had to take this action to protect the public," said Mr Dales.

"Most businesses work hard to improve hygiene standards but this shows that some traders ignore the basic rules."

Councillor Nicola Heaton, portfolio holder for community safety at Nottingham City Council, added: "Food standards and regulations are there for a reason, and we don't take lightly the impact poor standards could have."

The restaurant, operating under Mei Shan but called China Fu on its sign, was issued a food hygiene rating of zero in September, which it does not display in its window.

Mr Lu said: "We have changed since the inspection and now we clean every day."

One former resident of the flats behind, who now lives in Beeston, said he was not surprised at the ruling.

The 42-year-old, who asked not to be named, said: "Some of the things I've seen in that bin made me want to vomit. They've left fridges out there, it's just always full of stuff.

"I ate there once and I didn't like it. I wouldn't eat there again."

Computer programmer Alan Wankshaft was not impressed by the images. "It should be forced to close," said the 62-year-old from Nottingham. "No second chances, no fines, it should be closed. It's disgusting."

The full charges, which breach EC regulation 852/2004, are:

General cleaning of the premises
Equipment cleaning - specifically the meat slicer
Provision of waste disposal kept clean and free from pest access - namely the yard having open containers of food/oil and being filthy.
Having household pets on the menu

Jeff: Why am I not surprised at this? - these places should be shut down for good and the owners sent back to Asia in a pea green boat

Labour Punished - Thank You For Keeping Them Out...

Well thank goodness the election is over - couldn't stand another minute of Dimbledum & the other stooges.

Our campaign against Labour, supported by you, exposed them for what they were - traitors to this country - whether it be the preference of immigrants over the working Brits, the denial of their support for child abusers, or their denial of previous financial mismanagement.

We need to keep up the pressure - Cameron keeps saying there will be an EU in-out referendum before 2017 - we need to make sure it happens. We also need to ensure that the SNP's number of seats does not mean that scots get perks that the rest of Brits do not - English votes for English laws.

Finally, now that Millipede, Clegg & Garage have resigned, had an idea. Bring back Last of the Summer Wine or Top Gear - three old blokes playing with a bath going down a hill - sounds like Channel 5 material !

If you can't vote BNP...

So we've arrived at the final week of the most boring election campaign election ever - the so called main parties offering the same stuff in different colours.

Everything has been so coordinated to prevent 'gaffes' so there has been very little interaction between the party leaders and the public, and there have been no real debates between the party leaders.

It looks like the turnout is going to be very low, particularly among the young - which gives whoever 'wins' no mandate from the British people to do anything radical.

Anyway, if you can vote BNP do so but I know a number of you cannot so our advice is:

1. Vote for parties offering a referendum about EU membership - this is the only long term solution to the current immigration problems.
2. Do not vote Labour or Green - they are the real enemy and will open the borders to more immigrants and terrorists.

Please vote - many people have died fighting long struggles to get and keep you the vote so please repay them, and don't forget the 70th anniversary of VE day on May 8th.

The BNP will be stronger at the next election and will fight more seats so keep the faith.

Derbyshire Pub has website hacked by Islamic extremists

A PUB, popular with Derbyshire drinkers, has had its website hacked by Islamic extremists.

El Moujahidin has replaced the Dog and Partridge's usual homepage with calls to halt any killing of Muslims and 'free' Palestine and Syria.

People clicking on the pub's website looking for information about food, drink and events, are instead faced with a message allegedly sent by an Algerian native.

The message reads: "Tell Your Gov, To Know About Palestine. We Will Countinue Hacking The Sites, To Send The Message Of Our Palestine And All Arabs

"We Dont Accept Killing Muslims Evry Where, Stop Killing US

"#We Are El Moujahidin Team We Will Not End This War

"#AttaCker fr0m #Algeria."

The drinking hole, which is in Marchington, between Burton and Uttoxeter, has just been named in the top 200 in the country.

Paul Needham, 57, is the owner of the pub, along with his wife Rebecca, also 57.

He said: "It is amusing in one aspect in that it appears we must be some sort of serious threat to the world.

"I didn't think our food was that bad!

"But, joking aside, it does mean that our site will have to go down for a while while a new one is being built."

Mr Needham said he noticed the website had been hacked yesterday when someone alerted him to the fact that the homepage now carried a message alleging to be from the extremist group.

He said: "It appears that the site wasn't as secure as we thought it might be and clearly being the number one pub and restaurant in the area isn't the reason our site has been targeted in this way.

"It is probably happening all over the world and I am sure there are plenty of other sites that carry the same message.

"Ironically, we have a new guy currently working on a new website for us which we have been assured will be secure.

"What we are doing is getting him to take down the existing one and replacing it with a temporary notice saying that the new site is under construction and should be up in around a week or so."

El Moujahidin has targeted a number of websites in the last few years, including the aviation authority Air France.

On its Facebook page, El Moujahidin explains how it is an Algerian youth group.

It';s 'About us' section says: "It appeared in 2015 on the Social Media Network Facebook, and the name of the group is back to the history of Algeria, at the days of the French colonialization and their struggle was politically and militarily to liberate Algeria."
