Enrichment News From Nottinghamshire Courts


TAZEEM Hussain, 51, of Percy Street, Old Basford, was fined £600 for driving an unlicensed taxi. He was in a Vauxhall Vectra in Goldsmith Street, Nottingham, when the vehicle did not have the appropriate licence on October 27 last year.
Magistrates in Nottingham also ordered him to pay a £60 victim surcharge and court costs of £356.58. His licence will be endorsed with six points.
No separate penalty was imposed for having no insurance on the same date. Both charges were proved in his absence.
RAJA Khan, 42, of Radford Road, Hyson Green, has been fined for driving an unlicensed taxi in Broad Street, Nottingham, last October. Nottingham Magistrates' Court heard he was in a Vauxhall Astra without a licence or insurance. Both charges were proved in his absence at court.
He was issued with a £600 fine and must pay a victim surcharge of £60 and costs of £356.58. Six points will be added to his licence.
