STAFF at a city centre art shop were left “incredibly shaken” after being held up by a knife-wielding robber. It happened at around 9.45am on Friday shortly after the woman and man opened Shawes The Art Shop in Mansfield Road. Notts Police said the robber threatened the pair with the knife before fleeing with a quantity of cash.
DC Parminder Dhillon, from Meadows CID, said: “This was a terrifying incident for the shop workers, who were just trying to do their job.
“Although they were not hurt the offender’s threatening actions left them incredibly shaken.
“We need to trace this man, if his description seems familiar or if you have any information please call us.”
The robber was in his 30s, slim, black and about 5ft 10ins tall. He was wearing a black leather beanie hat, wire rimmed glasses, a brown coat and green trousers.
