Enrichers jailed for 33 years after raiding Toton home in middle of the night

THREE men have been jailed for a total of 33 years after being found guilty of aggravated burglary.
Earl Walcott, Gideon Jarrett and Daniel Barratt got into a house in Toton in the early hours of July 15.

They punched the owner in the face and tied him up. One of the offenders then kicked him before stealing a number of electrical items and the family car.

The community and officers reacted quickly when the alarm was raised and Barratt was found hiding under a car opposite the house. The other two offenders were found nearby.

DC Tony Tonks from Beeston CID said: “The owners of the house were left terrified after being woken up by the offenders in their bedroom.
“Quick thinking by officers and the community meant that we caught them straight away.
“We then used every resource we have to make sure they were jailed.
“This incident showed the remarkable community spirit in the village.
“One neighbour was given a community award by the judge for their actions and another chased one of the offenders down the street.”
Jarrett, 30, of Laurel Road, Hampton Hill, Middlesex received 13 years in prison, Walcott, 40, of Newdigate Villas, Radford, Nottingham, was sentenced to 12 years in prison and Barratt, 27, of Sinclair Close, Sinfin, Derbyshire, was given eight years in prison.
The house owners said: “We would like to express our sincere gratitude and thanks for the incredible and brave actions of our neighbours. There is no doubt that without them some of the people responsible for this crime would not have been bought to justice.
“The impact this incident has had on us continues to be difficult to get over, but we have been really, really fortunate in that we have had unbelievable help and support from our neighbours, family, friends and Beeston CID - saying thank you really doesn't begin to cover it.”
If you keep voting LibLabCon more of these criminals will be moving to a house near you - vote BNP
