Police search for asian taxi driver after nottingham city centre assault

Police are hunting for a asian taxi driver accused of assaulting his passenger on Maid Marian Way.
Two men were travelling in the back of the taxi towards Derby Road at around 1am on Thursday February 27 when a dispute erupted over the fare.

The green Hackney carriage pulled up close to the church at North Circus Street. Police believe the driver then pushed one of the men, who fell back and hit his head on a wall, causing a skull fracture.
They are now appealing for any witnesses, as well as asking taxi drivers if they know anything about the event.
The driver is described as Asian, in his mid-30s and of a large build. He had a local accent and wore a black Puffa jacket and black beanie hat.
If you have any information please contact Police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
