Police hunt asian men who assaulted #Nottingham taxi driver

A TAXI driver was left with black eyes and chipped teeth after being assaulted in the city centre.
The cabbie picked up two asian men from the Britannia Hotel in St James’s Street at about 2.30am on Wednesday, June 4.

During the journey, the passengers were verbally abusive and threatening and, when the driver stopped in Mansfield Road, they pulled him out of the taxi and attacked him.
He is still suffering from headaches and dizziness.
The men are described as Asian, between 25 and 30 years old, and between 5ft 7ins and 5ft 9ins tall.
They were both of a muscular build and had short, dark hair. (Jeff - That could be any asian!)
If you saw men matching this description before, after or during the attack please contact police on 101.
Jeff: The surprising thing about this was that the taxi driver was working - most of the time they are on strike!!! Use the UBER phone application to bypass the hackney lot - they think they have a monopoly
