Fake Asian Cabbie, Wasim Akhtar gets 21 months

A judge made an example of a fake taxi driver by jailing him for 21 months.

He also banned Waseem Akhtar, 32, from sitting in the front seat of a taxi by imposing a criminal behaviour order, successor to the old-style Asbo.

Akhtar pleaded guilty to six counts of fraud relating to taxi licensing.

He passed off a car as a taxi on classified advertising website Gumtree and sold it for more than £2,000 with false documents.

He also posed as a taxi driver and used an Audi which had a false Gedling Borough Council plate.

And he defrauded a cab company into renting him a Skoda, because he claimed his taxi was damaged and in for repair.

He repeated the offence days later, Nottingham Crown Court heard yesterday.

Recorder Paul Mann told Akhtar: "You were posing as a taxi driver to innocent members of the public, who were not to know if you had an accident you were not insured, nor were there safety checks to your vehicle.

"I'm afraid it's time to pay the price. This is a case where the court has to make an example of you, so legitimate taxi drivers can see why it is so important, so they stay on the right side of the law."

Akhtar, of Dovedale Road, Bakersfield, had never been a taxi driver for Gedling Borough Council. But he sold his vehicle, claiming it was licensed with the council.

He tampered with the licence plate to change the date and produced a fake paper licence in order to make a profit.

Although the plates may have appeared convincing to the public, an alert member of staff (clearly not a councillor!) from the borough council's licensing department spotted something was wrong.

Akhtar was a repeat fraud offender. He had been jailed in 2013 for six months for falsely claiming he held a taxi licence, following previous convictions for the same offence.

Councillor John Clarke, leader of Gedling Borough Council, said: "Our staff spotted the fake plate immediately and this sentence will act as a deterrent to anyone thinking about doing something similar.

"When we get into a taxi, we trust them to be properly licensed, so we want to assure residents that we will continue to be vigilant against this. If anyone sees anything irregular, we ask them to report it to us."

BNP Top Tip: Always use a taxi firm run by whites which mainly use white drivers - at least you know you won't be ripped off.

Immigrant Crime Watch - Do You Know Any Of These People?

This brown shit is thought to be responsible for a theft from B&M Bargains, Beeston, on August 3

This immigrant shit is alleged to have stolen mobile phones from The Carphone Warehouse, Queens Road, Beeston on June 28.

These two men are believed to be responsible for theft from TK Maxx, Chilwell, on July 8.

Inspector Wragg added: "These are not victimless crimes. As much as some of the organisations are large organisations they still have to rely on money coming into the stores to survive.

"It is possible that these people could be committing other crimes in the area – they could be stealing from your back garden, or could break into your house. They are dishonest people who need to be caught."

If you can identify any of the people pictured in these images, contact Nottinghamshire Police on 101. Alternatively call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.

Blacks 4.4 times more likely to be stopped by Notts Police

Black people are more than four times as likely to be stopped by police in Nottinghamshire than any other ethnic group.

The findings come from information released on police.uk, which looked at 40 police forces in the UK.

In 36 of the 40 forces in England and Wales, black people were more likely to be stopped and searched.

A Nottinghamshire Police spokesman said: "Stop and search powers are an important tool in the fight against crime.

"They are often used following a serious incident involving weapons or if we have intelligence to suggest something is likely to happen or are conducted when an officer has reasonable grounds to suspect that items that are unlawfully obtained or possessed are being carried by the person stopped.

"However, we know that using stop and search can cause concern. It is because of this that we want to continue engaging with people to explain why we use these powers and help them understand why it is sometimes necessary."

We all know that Blacks and other non British ethnic groups commit more crimes in proportion - who can blame the Police for doing this? Makes perfect sense to me.

A Quick Guide to Eating Out in Derby...

Simply, if you go into a food outlet and there is evidence of enrichment then leave immediately - you'll probably notice the smell anyway.

If you see the JustEat.co.uk sticker on the window, that's an immediate indicator of vermin lurking within so avoid. These are the sponsors of Derby County FC - I wonder what's really in the food served there?

Ban Halal & Kosher prepared food now.

Anyway, if you're in Derby here's the worst of the enriched food outlets and what the food hygiene inspectors found:

MIDLAND KEBABS, BREADSALL: ZERO STARS (Owner Mohammed Ishfaq)

Evidence of an uncontrolled mouse infestation with mouse droppings found at wall/floor junctions throughout, posing a risk of contamination.

No sanitiser or anti-bacterial cleaner available.

Cooked meat and vegetables being prepared on the raw meat chopping board.

Open containers of mayonnaise were found stored at room temperature.

Cleaning equipment such as your mop and brush were filthy and only helping you to spread dirt.

BIG TASTE, NORMANTON: ZERO STARS (Owner Lenworth McLean)

Evidence of an uncontrolled mouse infestation at the premises with mouse droppings found at wall/floor junctions throughout and in a cardboard box amongst food items.

I found Southern Fried Chicken, allegedly being kept hot, to be 40.9C and red bream fish, allegedly being kept cold at 19.7C, both food items were in the danger zone.

SUN WAA TAKEAWAY, LITTLEOVER: ZERO STARS (Owner Michael Wong)

Dirty, mouldy tea towels were found covering lots of food items including cooked rice and noodles.

Food handlers' aprons were dirty and poor condition and at the time of my visit you jumped into the outside bin to compact the waste wearing your apron.

ANOKI, LONDON RD: ONE STAR (Owner Naveed Khaliq)

Several dirty re-usable cloths on food preparation surfaces at the far end of the kitchen. These cloths were allegedly being used to dry the floor in the pot wash area.

Evidence of mouse droppings under shelving.

Staff toilet – The toilet pan and W/C area was dirty and was a real indication of the poor level of your food handler's personal hygiene.

HONG SHING: ONE STAR (Owner Mr Chin)

Inspectors found old mouse droppings in a cupboard, no date labelling of prepared foods in the refrigerator and the cupboard next to the fridge was dirty with spilt food and insect webbing.

CHEEKY MONKEY'S PLAYGROUP: ONE STAR (Owner Mr Gibbons)

It was found that raw meat was being stored directly above salad items and that staff were not aware of the E.Coli guidance and how to clean correctly.

CURRY EXPRESS: ONE STAR (Owner Abdullah Khan)

No paper towels available for hand drying and the access to the washbasin was blocked which prevented staff from washing their hands.

Issues with the general cleanliness of the premises with fat dripping from ventilation filters and dirt and debris on the floor throughout.

PARK VIEW FISH BAR: ONE STAR (Owner Mr BrownSkin)

Inspectors found there was no hot water to the wash basin in the small kitchen or the sink in the kitchen. At the time the officer visited the premises, boiling water was being used to clean. A substantial amount of dirt and debris was also found behind the chest freezers.

WRAPPED UP: ONE STAR (Owner Su ICideBomber)

Employees were washing their hands with cold water and no soap.

The temperature of the fridge was also too high, at 10.4C.

CARIBBEAN PART 1 BUSINESS, HOLCOMBE ST, NORMANTON: ONE STAR (Owner Mr Sooty)

Evidence of mice droppings in the bananas.

CURRY NIGHT, BRACKENS LN, ALVASTON: ONE STAR (Owner Mr Ali)

Next doors' cat's tail was found in the Biryani which was odd because it was a Manx Cat.
