Four Notts men jailed for heroin offences

FOUR men from Notts have been sentenced to a total of 24 years for conspiring to supply heroin.
The men all appeared before Nottingham on Monday for sentencing.

Nathan Pinder of Rosedale Drive, Wollaton Vale, was sent to prison for seven-and-a-half years and Justin Anderson, 37, of Westwood Road, Sneinton, was sent to prison for six years for his role in the conspiracy, and received an additional eight months for an offence of cannabis production.

Jourdain Pinder, 22, of Allendale Avenue, Broxtowe, was jailed for five years, Nathan Pinder of Rosedale Drive, off Wollaton Vale, Wollaton, was sent to prison for seven-and-a-half years, Everton Melhado, 62, of Ash View, Radford, for three-and-a-half years, and their heroin dealers Saeed Ahmed, 30, of Eversley Street, Toxteth, Liverpool, was also sent to prison for seven-and-a-half years.
Detective Chief Inspector Alan Mason, of the East Midlands Special Operations Unit, said:
"These sentences have been the result of painstaking and methodical police work to
disrupt the activity of two criminal networks in different parts of the country.
"These individuals had conspired to source heroin from suppliers in Liverpool for
sale on the streets of Nottingham in order to make substantial profits."

"It is well-known how devastating heroin can be not just for the users, but for families and entire communities.

"Thanks to excellent co-operation between the East Midlands Special Operations Unit and colleagues in the Merseyside and Staffordshire police forces we have, together, stopped this particular heroin supply network in its tracks.

"What's more, we have been able to present the evidence needed to compel the defendants to admit their crime for which they will now serve significant terms of imprisonment."

"Dangerous predator" Jermaine Robinson jailed for 13 years after Radford sex attack

A man who sexually assaulted a woman after viciously attacking her with a brick has been jailed for 13 years.

Jermaine Robinson, 27, of Basford Road, Whitemoor, was found guilty of grievous bodily harm (GBH) and sexual assault following a trial at Nottingham Crown Court.
Jermaine Robinson

He was handed a 13 year sentence for the GBH to serve a minimum of nine years. He was given an eight year sentence for the sexual assault. The terms will run concurrently.

The court heard how Robinson befriended his 18-year-old victim as she walked through Radford in the early hours of 26 June.

Robinson became angry when she rejected his sexual advances and hit her over the head with a brick and punched her repeatedly to the head and face, causing her to fall down unconscious.

She awoke to find Robinson sexually assaulting her. He told his victim, who was bleeding heavily from her head, that they had been attacked by another person.

Despite the woman’s pleas, Robinson made no attempt to help her and she managed to flee to a nearby street and call an ambulance.

Robinson had left the scene when police and ambulance arrived but was arrested three days later after a police officer recognised him from CCTV footage recorded on the night of the attack.

Robinson continued to deny that he assaulted the woman and insisted that he had left her alone to get drugs and found her unconscious when he returned.

He pleaded not guilty to both charges but was convicted by a jury. He was sentenced today (Thursday 14 February).

Detective Constable Kayne Rukas, who led the investigation, said: “Robinson is a dangerous predator who has shown no remorse for the violent and cruel attack.
“He put his victim through further trauma but making her endure a public trial, where she had to relive the horrifying events of that night.

“He launched a vicious attack on her and did nothing to help her. Even passers-by who were clearly concerned for the woman were warned off by him.

“The victim has showed remarkable strength and bravery throughout this ordeal and I hope that she is now able to rebuild her life in the knowledge that her attacker is exactly where he belongs and can not hurt anyone else.”

Planning our comeback

Friends,
When you are older, and your loved ones ask what did you do for our country…how will you respond?
Will you look back with pride, knowing that you helped stem the tide of squalor that is currently threatening our nation?
Or will you wonder what else you could have done?
Over the last 12 months, our British National Party has had a lot thrown at us, and once again, the media, the ‘insider’ parties of the Establishment, and the enemies who falsely claim to be ‘nationalists‘, have all declared us dead.
But let me tell you this; we’re back with a bang!
Membership sign-ups are increasing and past members, some from 5 or even 6 years ago are coming home to the BNP too.
Couple this with a number of highly generous financial legacies left to the British National Party and you get a winning team!
As part of this winning team, you are already making a difference to our future, and to your answer to my earlier question.
Let me tell you something else... we’re moving forwards again.
We have a plan of action, and a team of strong and dedicated Nationalists who are determined to make it work. Our plan is this:
• Hold a series of Campaign Meetings, which are already underway, in order to select our candidates and show you our campaign plans
• Stand significantly more candidates than last year – proving the media liars wrong and showing that we’re growing
• Hold a series of public meetings – let’s show the public why the media don’t want them to meet us, and get the headlines we need to tell the public that we’re back!
• Build a strong street and local presence – we must act like councillors even where we are not yet elected
Many of our forefathers made the ultimate sacrifice when they laid down their lives so that Britain would remain British and free.
What would they think of the state of our Britain today? What would they fear for the future?
Our children, grandchildren and our very Island Race are depending on your continuing support to help ensure the security of their future
I know that they can count on you.
Please donate whatever you can afford to the BNP election fund 2013 today.
I’m counting on a couple of larger donations, but can you afford £100, £50, or perhaps £25?
Your donation to the BNP today could make a difference to our tomorrow.
Yours sincerely,
Nick Griffin MEP
BNP Chairman

P.S. Please don’t delay; a secure future for our children is a most precious thing. Donate here or by calling 0844 809 4581. Thank you!
