DETECTIVES investigating the stabbing of a man in the city on Remembrance Day say they want to speak to two men who may have seen what happened.
Officers said Joel Hutchinson, and a second man are "believed to have been present" during last year's incident in Long Row in the early hours of Sunday, November 11.
A Notts Police spokeswoman said they may have vital information about a fight which led to the 27-year-old man being stabbed.
The spokeswoman added: "Mr Hutchinson has previous links to Hyson Green, as well as Derby and Loughborough.
"Detectives need to speak to him."
Officers also asked anyone who knows the second man in a red top in a CCTV image, who they have not been able to identify, to get in touch.
Four men have been arrested and bailed in relation to the stabbing.
The 27-year-old victim, who is from Nottingham, was found near the Primark store in Long Row at 1.45am.
Police believe the attack involved a number of people and took place near the Brian Clough statue.
The man was taken to Nottingham's Queen's Medical Centre with critical injuries and at the time was described as "gravely ill".
He improved in the week after the incident and he is now recovering at home.
A police cordon surrounded the area where he was found and forensics officers combed the scene.
Detectives have also scoured hours of CCTV footage in an effort to solve the crime.
One week after the attack, officers handed out leaflets and spoke with people close to the scene, and at pubs and clubs in the city centre.
Anyone who knows either man – or knows where they are – is asked to contact Radford Road CID on 101, extension 802 4587, or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
