A THIEF has been banned from all of Nottingham's city-centre car parks after admitting breaking into more than a dozen vehicles over two days.
Imran Khan, 30, of West Street, Arnold, was arrested last month after police recognised him from CCTV pictures of a car break-in at the Habitat car park, in Woolpack Lane.
Khan admitted a further 15 thefts from vehicles on November 16 and 17 – all in Nottingham city centre car parks.
He was ordered to pay fines and costs totalling £445 at Nottingham Magistrates' Court.
He was also given a supervision order, an unpaid work in the community and a drug rehabilitation order and issued with a two-year antisocial behaviour order upon conviction (Crasbo) which prohibits him from entering any car park, public or private, free or for payment, in the city centre.
Khan risks arrest and jail if caught breaking the new order.
Chief Inspector Andy Rooke, said: "Details of this individual and the order placed upon him have been circulated to car park management teams across the city centre, in order that any breaches can be dealt with swiftly, and the necessary action put in place."
