Knife-wielding black robbers attack man in home in Carlton

A MAN was attacked in his own home by knife-wielding robbers.

The 52-year-old was working at home alone when three men broke in and demanded jewellery.

Using what is thought to be a kitchen knife, the men threatened the victim and assaulted him.

The victim suffered significant injuries to his face and a cut to his shoulder.

He was taken to Queen's Medical Centre to receive treatment for his injuries. He was still in hospital last night.

The offenders, all black and in their late teens to early 20s, were wearing dark-coloured clothes and hooded tops. One was wearing a grey tracksuit.

An Apple iMac computer was stolen.

Witnesses are being sought following the robbery in Calverton Avenue, Carlton, at about 4.25pm on Wednesday.

Temporary Detective Sergeant Mike Broddell said: "If you were in Carlton around the time of the incident and saw anything or anyone acting strangely please call us.

"It was still light outside at that time – were you on your way from home?

"Can you remember anything unusual or do you know who might be responsible?"

Call him at Notts Police on 101 extension 811 6620 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
